Steal of the week.

Todays steal comes from Joss and Main. Just incase you are not familiar with the site, it is a daily deal site, that has several deals for a few days and then those deals are gone. Sometimes, you might be lucky to catch the same deal again after a few weeks. If you do see something you like, and really have to get it, I say bite the bullet because chances are you might not be as lucky to catch the deal some other time, or even worse, due to the popular demand of such sites, it might be sold out if you take too long thinking about it.

I have been searching for a zebra hide rug for a long time. Although I have come across quiet a handful of them, they were either too pricey or looked too shabby. Today, Joss and Main is having a lofty living event sale and they have this chic zebra rug that just happens to be the right size I have been searching for. 4'6" X 6'6".  Best of all the rug is priced at just a little under $210

If you are in search of a zebra rug, I would urge you to head on over and see for yourself. Create an account here if you do not have one already. Its totally free.

Room Of The Day

Today's room of the day is this dark toned room, laced with brass detailing. We love the prints on the french chairs and we love the dark wall/shelf color. Although the walls are dark, something about this room still screams cozy.

What do you think about today's room of the day? Yay or Nay?

Crushing on :French Settees

Via
Hello people. Today's post is about a piece of furniture I have always been intrigued by, which has now turned into full blown lust.

I am talking about the French Settee. Since I just completed a history of furniture and architecture class, I though I could share just a little bit about what I learned about french settees before showing you some inspiration pictures.

The French Settee is furniture that was designed in the Rococo period, which falls in the 18th century. By the end of the 18th Century, the Neo Classical period came around and the French Settee was transitioned in features.

One major way to tell which period a French Settee is mimicking is to look at the legs of the Settee.  French Settee's influenced by the Rococo Period have legs that are curved, while those influenced by the Neo Classical period have legs that are straight.

Now enough of the technicalities. Lets get on to the pictures I am coveting.

I hope you like these pretty French Settee's as much as I do. Don't forget to comment and subscribe.

Room of the day

Things we love about this room: The wall color is the perfect shade of gray, the wall scones and the coral french chairs make this room our ROOM OF THE DAY.
